Preview "40 Hours," ICON's Self-Help Book for Student Pilots
ICON Aircraft sells one of the most unique products in not just aviation, but in personal recreation. The ICON A5 is a light-sport aircraft, engineered for people of all skill levels to take to the sky and redefine where they can explore.When it came to demange generation, ICON was primarily sourcing new customers via demo flight requests. While the product can by definition take you almost anywhere, owning an aircraft is not a jump many people are immediately willing to explore, particularly with a start up-brand.
In short, ICON needed to expand its brand voice and improve their point of market entry for non-pilots—a key demographic for their airplane. So I wrote a self-help guide for people interested in getting their pilot license.
How did it go?

But in the span of less than a year, ICON has received press coverage from endemic media outlets (Flying Magazine, AVweb, Aviation Weekly) and has generated over 1,000 leads via preview of the book alone.
